Swimming lessons for children from the age of 5. The lessons are held as courses three times a year – in August, November, and March. The lessons take place twice a week in the evenings. You can register for the lessons via the website by selecting ‘Services’ (Teenused) from the menu bar and ‘Bookings’ (Broneeringud) from the subpage.

The registration fee for the lessons is 48 euros per child. The fee is non-refundable. When registering via the website, the registration fee must be paid immediately via a bank link. Later, the cost of the lesson will be added (5 euros per lesson), which must be paid before each lesson at the reception of Aura Centre, either in cash or with a bank card.

The instructor will teach the basics of swimming: exhaling into the water, staying afloat, and gliding. Different swimming styles are acquired step by step: front crawl, backstroke, and diving.

The first lessons take place in the shallow part of the children’s pool. In the first half of the course, we will teach the children to adapt to the water and perform the first exercises. In the second half of the course, we will do the same exercises in the large pool as well. Children usually acquire swimming skills quickly and are usually able to swim 25 m (either with or without an aid) by the end of the course. The primary swimming skills acquired in childhood create all the prerequisites for professional swimming in the future. In addition, swimming is good for children’s health and it is a skill that every person should master. After the 24-lesson swimming course, you can join training groups.

We need the name of the child as well as the name(s) and contact details of the parent(s) to provide a high-quality service, to transmit the necessary information, and to ensure the safety of the child. If someone other than the parent brings the child to the lessons or takes the child home from the lessons, please provide the contact details of the authorised persons to ensure the safety of the child.

We retain the data that OÜ Tartu Veekeskus becomes aware of in the course of providing swimming lessons to children either for up to a week after the end of the course or until it is necessary to protect the rights of OÜ Tartu Veekeskus or until it is required by legislation.
